Barkerville is fully equipped to support your classroom’s visit to an authentic, unique, world-class heritage site. With so much to see, Barkerville offers everyone the freedom to play, learn and explore. Our staff are committed to providing you with the support you need to make your group visit to Barkerville a truly outstanding experience.
Programming will commence on May 30th for our Main Season with regular admission. Please note that although the site is open May 15th – 29th with admission by donation, there will be no programming available except for select shops and exhibits.
We have changed how our school group programs are offered over the last few years. Groups are now charged admission at a discounted rate, and schools are invited to attend programs at the times they are offered. The list of the 2025 programs can be found here. Some of Barkerville’s programs are very popular with school groups and are in high demand. To help you select the best dates for your field trip, you have the option to book ahead and see which programs are full and which have availability by clicking BOOK YOUR PROGRAMS below.

Admission
Programming is included with regular admission except for the theatre, stagecoach, gold panning, and the photo studio which have a separate charge. For more information on booking these separate activities, please email us at tours@barkerville.ca.

Bus drivers receive free admission to the site and the Theatre Royal.
We can arrange for payment ahead of time, or when you arrive.
