Accessibility

Barkerville is committed to providing equitable access to everyone. We actively support accessibility, anti-racism, 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and encourage diversity in our staff, visitors, volunteers, and programming. We cultivate a safer space where all voices are heard, valued, and represented. Barkerville stands against hatred, discrimination, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. Barkerville is for everyone.

Our vision is that Barkerville is welcoming and meaningfully accessible to all. Our wilderness location and unique and fragile heritage buildings can make providing accessibility a challenge. We do our best to eliminate barriers to access wherever possible. Barkerville is 75% wheelchair accessible which includes the historic town and our campgrounds. Please be patient as we continue to make improvements.

Certified service animals are always welcome anywhere Barkerville guests are welcome. Please check in with our staff at the Welcome Centre.
