A WEEK OF REMEMBRANCE….
Despite the snow, Wells-Barkerville-Bowron Lakes held a wonderfully moving Remembrance Day ceremony outside the Cariboo Branch (128) of the Royal Canadian Legion in Wells, BC on November 11th. The official service was well attended, commemorative wreaths were laid at the Legion cenotaph, and the Wells-Barkerville community school choir sang “In Flanders Fields.” Afterward everyone was invited inside the Legion for some light refreshments and remembrance, with special attention paid to the recent passing of two long-time Wells residents and Legion members – Ray Davis and Steve Brown.
Thanks to the Cariboo Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for hosting the ceremony, and to everyone who participated in making the service something special.
We will remember for a very long time.
