Cottonwood House Historic Site is located 26 kilometres east of Quesnel, BC, on the way to Barkerville. It is a preserved roadhouse on the Gold Rush Trail. Visit their website for more information.

Just minutes from Barkerville, this cozy mining town is as friendly now as it was in its heyday in the 1930s. Browse through historic ‘uptown’ Wells, once a company townsite for the Cariboo Gold Quartz Mine with its many unique heritage buildings. Built in 1934 as a movie theatre and community space, the newly restored Sunset Theatre in Wells, BC is home to some of the regions finest music, theatre, and other performance art, showcasing both local and traveling talent. The theatre also provides play development services, and serves as a centre for artist retreats.
