Barkerville is located 81 kilometres (50 miles) east of Quesnel, BC at the end of Highway 26.
Central Mountain Air makes daily flights into Quesnel, and Greyhound also provides daily bus service to Quesnel. Bus service from Quesnel to Wells/Barkerville is available only on Thursdays. More information about this community bus can be found here (pdf).

Air Canada and Westjet both offer frequent flights to Prince George, several hours north of Barkerville.
West Coast Nature Tours provides a special Barkerville Shuttle service daily from Quesnel to Barkerville Historic Town and Bowron Lake Provincial Park during the summer and shoulder seasons.
Paxton Shuttle Service offers a weekly trip package from Prince George to Barkerville during the summer season, as well as chartered limo, shuttle, and bus service upon request.
Directions from Vancouver
Barkerville is an eight to ten hour drive from Vancouver, following the Gold Rush Trail. To get here, follow the TransCanada Highway #1 through Hope, along the Fraser Canyon to Cache Creek. From Cache Creek, take Highway #97 North. Follow #97 through Clinton, 100 Mile House, and Williams Lake to Quesnel. Turn right onto highway #26. Follow the highway until its end (but be sure to stop at Cottonwood House and explore Wells along the way).
